If you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.”- Paulo Coelho
We all know the feeling too well…the feeling of being stuck (at least I do). You have this idea of where you’d like to be or how you’d like to feel, but it fails to become more than a dream, an image, a magical fantasy floating around in the clouds.
Why can’t you grab it, own it, live it, actually feel it in your bones?
I’d love to stand fully into my magical fantasy.
But first I have to overcome this block in the road. This stuck feeling. It all seems so overwhelming, so far away in the distant future. Where do I begin!?
Do I add more to my plate? Work harder, longer, faster? Do I strain my mind to come up with a complex plan? Ok…I’ve tried all that. And now I’m just stuck and tired.
So what do you do when you feel stuck?
The exact opposite. YOU SACRIFICE.
You give something up. You make space. You get out of the freakin way.
In the past, sacrifice was kind of a thing. People actually made space for the sacred to reveal its wisdom instead of claiming to know it all.
Next time you’re feeling stuck, say goodbye to something that’s taking up space- that plan, that idea, that ego.
Stop to look within. Make an internal sacrifice. Meditate. Breathe. Surrender. Let go.
And when you do…the self becomes sacred.
It’s not about you anymore or what you can make happen.
It’s about what you allow the sacred to reveal.
I say goodbye. The sacred says hello.
